St. Catharines, ON. Fresh from their sold-out anniversary performance, Niagara-based improv comedy ensemble, Improv Niagara, will be premiering their brand-new production, “Off The Shelf,” at the 2019 In the Soil Arts Festival. The show will take place on Saturday June 8th, 2019 at 10:00 PM at Mahtay Café & Lounge at 241 St. Paul Street in St. Catharines.
This new production will feature one extended comedic improvised narrative, inspired by a few audience suggestions and the blurb of a real, pre-existing novel. This style is known as narrative longform improvisation, where the length of the scene exceeds that of the short games typically found in Whose Line Is It Anyway-style improv shows, like Improv Niagara’s monthly “Improv Fallout”.
Off The Shelf will star members of the Improv Niagara Players; Paul Fedj, Lacie Victoria, Erica Sherwood, Max Whitworth, Tino Notarianni, Mickie Krish, Genevieve Jones, Shawn Noaman and will be hosted and directed by Brie Watson.
