Improv Community of Practice: December – Beginner / Intermediate

December 2, 2025 @ 8:00 pm 9:30 pm EST

Welcome to Improv Niagara’s Community of Practice for beginner and intermediate Improvisers.

A COP is a group of people who share a passion for something they do, (improv) and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly.

This particular COP:

  • Meets twice per month, the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month for 1.5 hours. ***Note the 2nd practice in December will be a joint practice with the “Experienced” group. We hope this will make more time for Holiday enjoyment.***
  • Has open registration for the month, at the beginning of the month, for both sessions. (No admission will be permitted later in the month. Interested individuals can instead wait for the following month to register.)
  • Has a monthly fee of $20 to participate in both sessions. These funds ensure we have access to the rehearsal space.
  • Is for improvisers with under 2 years of practiced experience, and who have taken Improv Niagara’s “Intro” Session, or a suitable alternative.
  • Is open to improvisers who accept and want to contribute to our Vision, our Code of Conduct, who adhere to our Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination Policy and who believe in What We Stand For.

We share a dedication to the craft of improv, laughter and the joy of comedy, and hope you do too!

E86 – Zane Caplanksy: A Dish, a Dream and a Lotta Hustle

https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-5533a-1608c35

Our guest in this episode is mustard and smoked-meat wizard Zane Caplansky, founder of Caplanksy’s Deli & purveyor of fine mustards. When Nick had the idea of interviewing a chef to discuss the artistic elements of food and cooking, Zane immediately came to mind. As it turns out, the struggles associated with balancing artisanal meats and mustards and attempting to find balance in life are huge. Six-figure-legal-fees huge.

And yet, Zane is probably the most optimistic and hopeful guests we’ve had the pleasure of speaking with – and in the current political climate, that doesn’t seem so easy to do, right? So, grab some pickles, dip ’em in some tasty Caplansky mustard & enjoy our journey strugglin’ on with Zane Caplanksy.
